Campaign Reminders
Learn how Campaign reminders can be used to help drive adoption of your initiatives.
Introduction
Campaigns are a very useful tool for driving initiatives across your organization. But without a way to remind the people about them, it can be difficult to achieve a high completion rate.
To help remind people of the initiatives they should focus on, there are 2 types of campaign reminders available in OpsLevel, recurring and ad-hoc reminders.
Scheduling Recurring Campaign Reminders
The campaign owner can schedule recurring campaign reminders via Slack or email to service owners that have a campaign running against any of their services. When creating or editing a campaign, you can select by which channel to notify service owners and a cadence for which reminders will be sent out on. Note: Reminders will only be sent out to service owners that have defined a Slack and/or email contact method in OpsLevel.
Schedule a Recurring Campaign Reminder
After creating a campaign with Scheduled reminders enabled, reminders will only be sent out for campaigns that are In Progress or Delayed. Reminders will not be sent for campaigns that are in the Draft or Scheduled states. To help understand when reminders will be sent, In Progress and Delayed campaigns will have a prompt on their details page that also allows quick edit access.

Sending Ad-Hoc Campaign Reminders
The campaign owner is able to send ad-hoc notifications via Slack or email to service owners at any stage after scheduling a campaign. The “Send Reminder” button on the campaign’s main page allows the campaign owner to send out notifications to all service owners whose services haven’t yet fulfilled the campaign checks with a custom message. Note: Reminders will only be sent out to service owners that have defined a Slack and/or email contact method in OpsLevel.

Service owners will receive a message that includes a custom message from the campaign owner as well as summary information about the campaign and which of their services have yet to complete the campaign.
